My iPhone isn't pairing with my car's Bluetooth! What am I supposed to do?

If your iPhone isn't pairing with your automobile over Bluetooth, it's most likely due to a connection problem. However, we can't rule out the potential of a hardware malfunction.

Your iPhone has a tiny antenna that helps it link with other Bluetooth devices. This antenna also aids in the connection of your iPhone to Wi-Fi networks, so if your iPhone has been having difficulties connecting to Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi recently, it might be a hardware issue.

To find out why your iPhone won't connect to your car's Bluetooth, follow the instructions below!

How To Fix An iPhone That Won't Connect To Bluetooth In A Car

Turn your iPhone off and then on again.

When attempting to connect an iPhone to a vehicle Bluetooth, the first troubleshooting step is to switch it off and then back on. This will cause all of the apps that operate the software on your iPhone to shut down, allowing them to restart when you turn it back on.

To switch off your iPhone, hold down the power button (also known as the Sleep/Wake button in Apple speak) until the words "slide to power off" show on the screen. Then, to switch off your iPhone, slide the red power symbol from left to right.

Wait 30-60 seconds before pressing and holding the power button until you see the Apple logo in the middle of the screen.

Turn Bluetooth off and then on again.

Turning Bluetooth off and on again will allow your iPhone to try again and establish a secure connection. When you initially attempted to connect your iPhone to a Bluetooth device, you may have encountered a small software error, which may be resolved by turning Bluetooth off and on.

Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone's display to access Control Center, where you may switch off Bluetooth. Then touch the circle holding the Bluetooth symbol - you'll know Bluetooth is turned off if the symbol is dark within a grey circle.

To reactivate Bluetooth, press the Bluetooth symbol once again. When the Bluetooth symbol in Control Center is white within a blue circle, you know it's back on.

Forget about using your vehicle as a Bluetooth device.

When you connect your automobile to your iPhone for the first time, much like any other Bluetooth item, such as wireless headphones or speakers, your iPhone stores data on how to pair with it. If the pairing procedure changes at any moment, your iPhone may be unable to establish a secure connection with your vehicle.

To avoid a possible issue, we'll delete your automobile from the Settings app. As a result, the next time you try to pair your iPhone with your automobile, the devices will connect for the first time.

Open the Bluetooth Settings app to turn off your automobile as a Bluetooth device. Find your automobile in the "My Devices" list and hit the information button information symbol to the right of it. Then, on your iPhone, hit Forget This Device to forget about your automobile.
